Former Firnew Artist: Sue Linthicum
Sue Linthicum has been photographing the surrounding countryside for many years. Her love of country is very apparent in all of her art: photography, watercolor, oil, acrylics, and mixed media. After retiring from her position as a Human Resources Director in Washington, D.C., Sue moved to Culpeper, Virginia to enjoy and capture more fully her art.
Her artwork has been accepted into many juried shows, and she is an award winning photographer and painter.Sue is a member of the Firnew Farm Artists’ Circle, Central Virginia Watercolor Guild, and a “Signature Member” of the Virginia Water Color Society. Her artwork has been published in the Washington Post Newspaper and the Piedmont Virginian Magazine. Sue’s photographs were on the cover and in the featured story of Home Magazine, Charlottesville, Virginia, and another photograph was selected as the cover photograph for a published book. Her art is exhibited in galleries throughout Virginia and is shown in establishments that feature local artist’s work. Her paintings are in permanent collections at Culpeper Hospital and Virginia Menonite Retirement Community.
