Vickie Watts

What started simply as a desire to learn to spin yarn evolved into a love of color and texture.  Using various fibers from the luxurious to the ordinary, I create wearable and decorative art.

My inspiration comes from the natural world around me.  Be it the mountains at sunset, autumn leaves or an interesting stone, it is all about color and texture!  While I do use synthetic dyes, often the colors in my work are supplied by nature.  I am blessed to live in an area where, not only does nature inspire my art, but actually becomes an integral part of the work.
